Nicole Graves, LPC

Nicole Graves is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to providing holistic mental health counseling that supports personal growth, fosters self-compassion, and promotes overall wellness. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, mental health, and human services, she brings a wealth of knowledge, empathy, and real-world perspective to her work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

Nicole's person-centered approach empowers individuals to navigate anxiety, strengthen coping skills, build resilience, and develop a deeper sense of self-worth while addressing a variety of academic, personal, and professional challenges. She integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients create meaningful change and move toward their goals with confidence and clarity.

As a proud first-generation college graduate, Nicole earned both her Master of Education in Counseling and Bachelor of General Studies, with an emphasis in Sociology and Psychology, from Wichita State University—Go Shocker Nation! Her educational journey reinforces her passion for helping others overcome obstacles and realize their potential.

Nicole is also a United States Army Veteran, having served in both the Kansas Army National Guard and Army Reserves. Her military service strengthened her resilience, leadership, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to serving others—qualities that continue to guide her work as a counselor today.

Outside of her professional life, Nicole enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exploring new restaurants, listening to jazz, and reading and writing poetry.

Nicole believes that growth is a journey built on patience, perseverance, and self-compassion. One of her favorite quotes by the late, great Maya Angelou reflects this philosophy:
