Sherri Hanson, LSCSW
With over 30 years of experience, Sherri specializes in supporting late adolescents (ages 16-19) and adults of all ages through life’s challenges. Her background includes extensive work in hospice care, where she provided anticipatory grief therapy and assisted patients and their families navigate end-of-life transitions with compassion and support.
Sherri firmly believes that therapy can benefit everyone—whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply seeking personal growth and well-being. She creates a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions, gain deeper self-awareness, and develop practical skills to manage life's complexities.
Taking a Whole Person approach—integrating mind, body, and spirit—Sherri blends education and evidence-based therapeutic techniques to meet each client’s unique needs. She draws from a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Narrative Therapy (NT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, attachment issues, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress-related disorders, and ADHD.
